The chatbot’s integration will allow enterprise druggies to get announcements about events similar as security pitfalls and the status of system health from within brigades, and also let them run command line interface commands to run scrapbooks.
Amazon Web Services has integrated its AWS Chatbot into Microsoft brigades to allow enterprise druggies to interact with AWS cloud coffers from within the converse operation.
AWS Chatbot, which was first showcased in 2019 and made generally available in 2020, is a service that lets enterprise development and IT brigades admit announcements about their AWS structure coffers from within a productivity or converse operation similar as Slack.
“ When using AWS Chatbot for Microsoft brigades or other converse platforms, you admit announcements from AWS services directly in your converse channels, and you can take action on your structure by codifying commands without having to switch to another tool, ” Sébastien Stormacq, top inventor advocate at AWS, wrote in a blog post.
The commerce with AWS structure and coffers is made possible with the integration of the converse operation with AWS services similar as Amazon CloudWatch and Amazon Simple announcement Service( SNS).
While Amazon CloudWatch is a service that’s used to collect and fantasize real-time logs, criteria, and event data in automated dashboards, SNS is a drive announcement service for AWS ’ distributed systems, microservices, serverless operations, and endpoints.
The company said that the operations included in AWS SNS are Amazon Simple Queue Service( SQS), Amazon Kinesis Data Firehose, AWS Lambda, and other HTTPS endpoints.
The AWS ’ EventBridge service integration with SNS allows the chatbot to shoot event-related information to the supported converse operations.
AWS Chatbot within brigades also allows enterprise druggies to run command line interface commands to run scrapbooks to address issues. Long commands that druggies tend to forget can be stored by creating aliases within the AWS Chatbot channel in brigades and other operations, the company said.
Scrapbooks are depositories that house executable canons for programs.
To add AWS Chatbot to Microsoft brigades, enterprises need to add the bot to the applicable platoon or group inside the operation. After that, the url of the platoon can be used to configure the chatbot from within AWS Management Console or AWS Cloud Development Kit.
Enterprises need to assign identity and access operation warrants for what channel members can do in this channel and associate SNS motifs to admit announcements, Stormacq wrote in the post.
At the time of the launch in 2019, AWS Chatbot was supported on Slack and AWS Chime. Other services that AWS Chatbot can shoot announcements about include AWS Health, AWS Budgets, AWS Security Hub, Amazon GuardDuty, CloudWatch, and CloudFormation.
